Dr. Jason Flanagan

Dr Flanagan joined the MULTIWAVE group in May 2015

Jason Flanagan has a background in Applied Mathematics, with particular emphasis on numerical modeling. He has an interest in developing understanding of a variety of ocean processes – each operating at different scales – and their interaction. In the past he has been involved in research relating to double diffusion, shoaling wave packets, ocean ring stability and regional/global circulation. He joined the MULTIWAVE group in May 2015 and will utilise both statistical and numerical techniques to investigate the role of directional focusing in the formation of extreme waves.
