Dr Thomas Godin

Thomas Godin is working in Besançon on experimental aspects of optical rogue waves using femtosecond pulses in various classes of optical fibres.

Thomas Godin carried out his PhD at CIMAP from September 2009 – September 2012 on the "Characterization of population lensing effects in solid-state lasers" at Caen in France. His work focused on the development of high-sensitivity techniques for probing optical nonlinearities. Since October 2012, he his working in the Optoelectronics Group at the Institut FEMTO-ST in Besançon as a post-doctoral researcher on the study of extreme events in supercontinuum generation. He is working full time on the ERC MULTIWAVE project.
