Real world ocean rogue…

In situ wave measurements are currently being acquired by means of a 5-beam Acoustic Doppler Profiler deployed on the 9th February 2015 in Co. Clare off the West Coast of Ireland with the goal of quantifying the occurrence of high amplitude rogue waves.
Following the production of the map of the extreme events in Ireland and the compilation of their catalogue, we have noticed that eyewitness descriptions of unusually large waves can be a valuable contribution to a better understanding of the phenomena.
We would be grateful if you could take the time to fill in this questionnaire (word, pdf) if you happen to experience (or have experienced) an extreme event. Even though Ireland is the main focus for this project, information about large waves events in other areas of the globe are also welcome.
