The key idea is to implement rigorous performance and calibration tests of in situ wave measurements in an extreme ocean environment in order to quantify the occurrence of high amplitude rogue waves.
The ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) that was deployed on 9 February 2015 in Co. Clare off the West Coast of Ireland was recovered on 11 June 2015. We will keep you updated about the results.
